Description and Context

By 1930 Lincoln Hospital was secure in the community. That year 1556 patients were admitted with 61 percent classified as charity cases. The bed capacity had grown from 86 bed and 7 bassinets to 95 beds and 9 bassinets. The medical staff increased from 53 to 97 physicians with 14 listed as regular. The annual report for the year 1933 reported 5 graduate nurses, 33 student nurses, and 3 interns.
