Description and Context
Mrs. Lucille Zimmerman Williams, R.N., a graduate of St. Agnes School of Nursing, joined the hospital in 1945. She assumed responsibility for the nurses training program and continued in that role until the school closed in 1971. Mrs. Williams maintained the traditions established by Miss Patty Carter with emphasis on profession attire, etiquette, and bedside manner. (Courtesy of The Scalpel, 1948)
