Pictured here are six of the _____ trustees of the Lincoln Hospital Board of Trustees in 1964. Lincoln Hospital benefited from the expertise of leading African Americans in Durham community, particularly those associated with Mechanics and Farmers Bank and The North Carolina Mutual Life Insurance Company. Trustees from these institutions who came with expertise in finance, insurance, medicine and population health pictures here are: from left to right, (standing) Larkin Teasley, assistant actuary, NC Mutual; Thad Garland, assistant agency director NC Mutual; and John Harvey Wheeler, president, Mechanics and Farmers Bank; (sitting) Noah Bennett, actuary, NC Mutual; Dr. Clyde Donnell, Vice President and Medical Director, NC Mutual; and Frank Scott, director of Lincoln Hospital.
