Description and Context
In the later years, after praying, singing, speeches, and presentation of the diplomas, awards were given to the graduate nurses. These included prizes for "Excelling in the Theory and Practice of the Operating Room", "Highest Scholastic Average", "Most Technically Competent", "Neatest", "Most Courteous to Patients", and "Excelled in Leadership Ability". Dr. Clyde and Martha Donnell also gave to each graduating nurse an individual prize. This is a c. 1954 photograph of graduation exercises.
