Description and Context

Not only were medical technician students required to master skills in preparing hematology slides and running urinalysis and chemistry examinations, but student nurses rotating through the lab also had to learn them, as seen here c. 1958. Most importantly, Mrs. Goodwin expected all students to keep their work area free from bacteria and other contaminants of patient specimens. (Courtesy of Carolyn Henderson.)
