Description and Context
The Lincoln Hospital front lobby was the reception area for all individuals waiting to see patients and family members. The hospital did not have formal waiting hours and, thus, was open nearly all day and evening. When arriving one would use the telephone in the front lobby to call up to the floor to gain permission to visit a patient.
